HAPPY TO BE NAPPY

If you're looking for a way to introduce Black History into your young impressionable child's life,  try literature.  Simple books that tell simple stories about a very rich culture.
From my experience as a child, my first memories of cultural pride were rooted in simple loving words from my parents like-
"Your hair is thick and beautiful" and "Your lovely skin color is what makes you special".

Happy to be Nappy is a great place to start. Fun to read, fantastically illustrated.
There will be plenty of time for the heavy stuff, let's start first by giving our little one's confidence and pride in who they are.
With those tools in life, they'll begin to make their own fabulous HISTORY.
