EASY BUDGET HOLIDAY DINING TABLE DECOR

It's that time of year where we overspend right? Welp, this year is a little bit different because of you know what. Not only are a lot of us operating on an extremely low budget, we are also staying at home for the holidays. It's been a challenging year on so many levels, but I read an article about how there has been a surge in home projects because we desperately need to feel safe and secure in our homes.

Sooo....this was our first Thanksgiving spent at home, just the 3 of us, since moving to L.A. 10 years ago and I wanted it to feel special. This is how I did it.

Table Runner: $1.00 Kraft paper roll from the Dollar Tree
Greenery: $2.99 Eucalyptus from Trader Joes
Gourds: $2.50 from Trader Joes (left over from Halloween)
Pine combs: Free from the tree
Candles: $23.99 Vinkor Flameless Candles Battery Operated Candles 4" 5" 6" 7" 8" 9" Set of 9 Ivory Real Wax Pillar LED Candles with 10-Key Remote and Cycling 24 Hours Timer from Amazon (last year)

Invitations: Designed on Canva for free using the "Monochrome Flower Photo Menu" template. I found a gingham photo on Pinterest and uploaded it as a background on the template and then made the text adjustments.  I printed on plain photocopy paper and mounted on Paper Source $2.75 for 25 A7 Black Flat Cards. Tied with twine also from Paper Source (1 ball of twine has lasted 2 years!) There's a sale version here.

Have fun and thanks for reading!

24 THINGS YOU CAN DO

We are tired, angry and frustrated. A lot of people who are really seeing the dark side of racism in this country are being overwhelmed by information. Though the first and most important step is happening right now, we need to do more. I've created printable prompts available for download to help. It's not the answer, but the idea is to start. The printables are $2 for 24 easy things you can do to help make a change, please share with anyone who you think would benefit. A portion from each purchase will be donated to different anti-racism organizations.
