WELCOMING BRIGHT STATEMENT

Hate as you may, Kim is still with us and still beautiful. I am obsessed with this yellow color and may not have the right occasion to wear a full on gown featuring it,  but would love to have it in my life. Even the most annoying closet doors in the older apartments (...you know the ones that refuse to close or somehow manage to slide off the groove it was intended to fit nicely in?) deserve a chance at true love.   Instead of tossing it over the balcony in a mad rage, lift its spirit by adding a fresh coat of Kanye...I mean paint.

Still obsessed with black in the living space.

This space is as visually enchanting as Kim.

The only difference between the two is Kim made the wise choice to downplay her accessories making her embellished gold shoulders, decollatage and gorgeous face the focus. This sitting room is the perfect example of why black is one of my favorite colors. Contrary to what some believe it is wrapping the room in a chic comfort that only black has to offer. As opposed to making it dreary, it is the platfrom for all the other accessories to shine, especially that OTT gold candelabra! Without the black it may have been, dare I say, wack?

This whole look is as alluring as it is simple.  Just like the Suede Collection in Cocoa from Amazing Cosmetics for 36$. For the most part Kim keeps her looks neutral in color and makes a huge impact in style.  How does she do it? 

 The same way the talented designer of this quaint moody living space has done it. Keep the color palette minimal and add tons of texture.  I am a huge fan of saturated color, but have recently renewed my love of basic black. I can't wait to dip into a can of dark charcoal paint for my new home.
